Veriton M6620G upgrading graphics to Quadro

Hi all,

I have 6 Veriton M6620G i7 machines in my office being used as CAD Workstations, currently using the onboard H4000 graphics.

I've purchased Nvidia QUADRO K600 cards to improve the performance in 3D modelling however I cannot get the machines to accept the cards.

After fitting the K600 and powering up, the machine returns 5 rapid beeps then 1 beep at a higher tone, synonymous with the standard POST beep. Around 20-30 seconds later, another POST beep occurs however nothing happens.

On screen, it shows the option <DEL> to enter the BIOS however, there is no reponse after selecting the Delete key (or any other key). Have tried different configs in the BIOS, TPM on, off etc. Nothing changed. The motherboard has 2 slots and the result is the same for both.

I read a post in this group regarding the re enabling of the onboard graphics where a K400 had been factory installed and the response indicated the BIOS being locked (at build) therefore the onboard graphiocs would remain disabled.

My questions is... Is this likely for my workstations as well? As in, due to the K600 not being part of the original build, the option for any upgrade has been removed?

I welcome your experienced feedback.

Regards,

Damien.
