Windows 8; Running apps/programs are minimized when tablet is docked

HI all

 

We have 50 Acer W700 tablets still running the original Windows 8.0 (the factory install).

 

When we dock the tablet in its craddle/dock any running Apps/programs are minimized and we are back at desktop.

This is unfortunate as the tablets are supposed to run our program in full screen (not kiosk mode).

 

Is there a way to disable this behaviour? registry settings?

 

FYI Acer's Cradle driver (port replicator) is installed.

 

I have tested with 8.1 as well; I had not installed the cradle driver but windows installed some USB replicator drivers => same problem.

 

We plan to upgrade them all in near future when all the drivers are sorted... still waiting for Acer/Intel to sort out the graphics driver...
