V3-571g no bootable device

Hi guys! i have an acer V3571g and it used to work really good but 3 days ago it stoped working and started doing some really weird noises that come from the hard disk. I replaced the HD with my old notebook's one and the BIOS recognises it but not my old xp OS, and it gives me the "no bootable device" mesage. I also tried with another HD with Win7 and ubuntu but it had the same result.

Is it really just a HD issue? or did the whole notebook died?

Sorry for the bad english i'm from chile xD

Any help will be really apreciated.

    Hi Felipe

    Tricky one this.

If the replacement hard drives used, ALL fail to install Windows, then I suggest you have a motherboard issue. Although, the noises made by the original hard drive point to that being at fault!

You could try a brand new hard drive, just in case. If this fails to work, then it will definitely be the motherboard!
