Hello, I recently bought a new Acer Aspire v5 122P.  I honestly love the laptop, it is a hybrid touch, with almost NO moving parts, Amazing.  I noticed that when I upgraded to Windows 8.1, I LOST Bluetooth, the device was reporting as working, but could not see any devices.  I solved this issue, By REFRESHING to Windows 8, Download ALL updates 1st!  THEN Windows 8.1.  AFTER 8.1 installs, download the WINDOWS 8.1 (BROADCOM or ARTHOS) You can find out which one you have in the DEVICE MANAGER.  ONCE Downloaded, Extract ALL files, then Extract BT_DRIVER_ONLY, and update from the properties of the Bluetooth Adapter, ONCE updated, the name will change from adapter, to module.  BLUETOOTH NOW WORKS!!! ENJOY!

When you have updated EVERYTHING, I highly recommend you look up HOW TO IMAGE WIN 8.1, and SAVE an Image of your machine, in it's working condition.  HAVE A NICE DAY!
