I'm having a major problem here. I bought an Aspire X1430G a little over a year ago that came with windows 7 on it. I got the Windows 8 Pro upgrade soon after as I qualified for the special Windows Store had going when 8 came out. My problem started when I did a "Refresh" in Windows 8. Instead of just Refreshing,it asked for a Media Disc because some "Files" were "Missing"? Instead it installed just the Windows 8 and didn't install any of my programs that came with my computer! I lost everything! I ordered the recovery media for my computer from Acer and have tried to reinstall my system only to go thru pure **** in order to get to the boot options! Now it is giving me three choices. 1. Restore Operating System to Factory Defaults. 2. Restore Operating System and Retain User Data 3. Completely Restore Computer to Factory Defaults. I don't know which option to choose! I thought it would be the 3rd choice, but i get the message that I need to delete all data from the hard drive? How am I supposed to accomplish this? Does this mean I have to wipe the hard drive completely? If I do that won't that screw it up so I can't reinstall my Windows 8 Pro upgrade that I have on it? Please help me here. My computer is sitting with the 1rst of the recovery discs in the OP drive!
