I load Netflix on my Aspire 5750-6845, then watch it on my LG HDTV through the HDMI port. By default, the computer defaults through the television speaker, and back to the computer when the HDMI cord is disconnected. The other night, the audio did not default back to the computer. I went into the speaker icon in the system tray and verified the audio was still defaulting to the TV. I right-clicked the TV icon, chose Disable Device, and the audio defaulted back to the RealTek speakers on the computer. However, disabling the TV device caused it to disappear. Audio no longer flows to the TV via HDMI, and the TV audio icon is no longer visible through the speaker icon or through the Device Manager.
So, where did that audio device go, and how do I recover it? I've gone through related posts but haven't yet found a solution. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Daniel.
