Failed Bios Update Veriton M410 hung up on Verifying DMI Pool Data

I tried to update the BIOS from the ACER support site (drivers & manuals section).

I followed the flash RT02-B3 procedures using the readme file as a guide and everything seemed to work as described.

Then the system entered reboot and got hung up on "Verifying DMI Pool Data".

I have tried resetting the CMOS, checked for disks, made sure the HHD is on "auto-detect" in BIOS utility, etc...

I can enter set up and boot utility but that is all.

Unfortunately, I do not have recovery disks but I don't think that would help as I thought maybe a Hirens BootCD might have something to help me but I could not get it to boot up (by either boot utility OR changing Advanced Bios Features boot order.

The BIOS is Phoenix LTD R02-A1, 11/7/2007 and I'm running XP.

HELP...PLEASE!!

    Hello Johnnylm,

To flash the bios with MS-DOS:

1- Make a MS-DOS Bootable Flash Drive (USB key): How to make a MS-DOS bootable flash drive

2- Re-download the bios file (they changed it): BIOS_ACER_R02.B3_Windows_VTM410_210.zip

    3- Copy AWDFLASH.EXE, AFlash.bat and 755PA14.BIN on USB key.

    4- Boot on USB key.

5- When you are on MS-DOS, type the command AFlash.bat

6- If it's flash successfully, reboot your system (sometimes, it reboot automatically).

7- Enter on the bios setup utility, "Load optimazed defaults".
