Dear Friends, am seeking your help to find a way avoiding this overheating and very disturbn way os using Acer laptops.

am having Acer Aspire 5755G and the heating is going crazy, even though there is no game is on !!

am suspicous with the windows 8.1 that is not compitable with the manufactured device, thats why the fan is not obey fine and as the heat increase the fan should be increase as well. i try to look of whether i can adjust the speed from the Bios, but no chance.

i was thinking if there is a software that can manage the fan speed like the other laptops (Dell- Lenovo). also no chance..

moreover i try the modifying in windows fan control and no change at all.

the wired thing is, when i enter to the Bios the fan speed Increase by it self !! so it work faster but why not within the windows Environment.

thanks for giving me your precious time

    Hello helmi!

You can try Speedfan - this program allows you to adjust the speed of the fan. I presume you've tried removing the dust etc, from your laptop using compressed air? Just to rule it out, as dust is a major cause of overheating!

Although, you may be right that your Aspire 5755G may not be fully compatible with Windows 8.1. Have you checked to see if there is an updated to BIOS or if there are updated drivers for your device? Go to the Acer support site for your region, and select the "Drivers & Manuals" section to find out.

If there are no updates, then it might be worth reverting back to the original version of Windows, which should solve the problem.
