Catalyst Control Center cannot be started
I have an Acer Aspire ME600, I have reinstalled windows 8, fresh install, the only problem is that the Catalyst Control Center cannot be started. When I click on Catalyst Control Center in program files or right click on the desktop and click on Catalyst Control Center a window pops up and says "Catalyst Control Center cannot be started, There are currently no settings that can be configured using Catalyst Control Center. Catalyst Control Center was working prior to my reinstall of Windows 8. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Catalyst Control Center 2 times already, restarting the computer each time. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Same problem.
Although i got messages about the hkcmd process and the igfx process wanted to start and accepted, can't get it working.
Also, the drivers that I've tried to get manually from AMD site is a no go, got a compability error.
Everythings active, just can't seem to configure the graphicscard priority.
Installing a different manufacturers graphicscard is not a solutin for me ^_^ (can't really afford one atm) so I'll stick with AMD.

Can't seem to find my original post.
I've solved the problem with atleast Aspire 7750G Graphics error.
Before I begin giving you the solution, note that I already had the AMD Radeon drivers for my computer aswell as HydraVision.
HydraVision got the CCC started, but only with options for HydraVision (so it wasn't really working as intended I suppose).
First of, I had to flash BIOS from 1.21 to 1.17, wheras 1.17 is by Insyde at BIOS-Mods.com.
File: A_A_7750_P5WE0117_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.exe
Download Location: http://www.bios-mods.com/BIOS/index.php?dir=Insyde%2F
Installationmethod: Point & Click, install does rest then reboots.
After flashing BIOS i rebooted my machine and entered BIOS.
There I finaly found the sought after ADVANCED tab (top center of screen).
No I could change the behaviour of the AMD VGA with the following stepps;
BIOS - ADNACVED - VIDEO CONFIGURATION - PCI EXPRESS GRAPHIC - ALWAYS ENABLE PEG - Change to [Enabled]
BIOS - ADNACVED - VIDEO CONFIGURATION - PCI EXPRESS GRAPHIC - POWERXPRESS SETTINGS - Change to [Muxed Fixed Theme]
F10 (Save & Exit)
Now I already had the AMD Radeon drivers from the Acer site that didn't work, i went to AMD and sought after the beta drivers from 12.11 and found instead the 2 folowing files that I downloaded, installed, tested and found working:
AMD_Catalyst_12.11_CAP2.exe
AMD_Catalyst_13.2_Beta7
You know what? It actually really works really great (>^_^)>
Install em' both, accept anything and everything and reboot when done.
You will now be able to make any change in Catalyst Control Center as before
Now for the conclusion, @ ACER, I honestly have my personal opinion about this situation based on the modding of the BIOS aswell as the having to find drivers that work on my own, however, that same opinion goes toward AMD aswell.
Both of you have failed to deliver..
