Acer Aspire V5-552PG-X469 - froze up and had to disassemble to reset it?!?!

Ok I am in need of some help and I admit I am in an extremely emotional and bad mood so please don't take me as always being like this.

So after about 3 weeks the honeymoon is over.  This hung up a few times in the 3 weeks I've owned it, and while I didn't think a brand new, babied , perfectly pristine computer with this supposedly badass AMD Richland A10-5757M processor , Radeon Dual Graphics 8650G + 8750M, 8GB RAM, etc. should have any hangups ... I did not complain.

I was installing AMD System Monitor and the machine froze completely.  No movement anymore, cursor froze, keys froze, completely frozen for 5 minutes .  Then I went to unplug it and quickly realized, no battery to remove and force a restart.  And nowhere to push or anything, completely absent of an emergency restart way?  I just had to fumble around disassembling the entire bottom plastic , removing my count was 17 tiny screws , and trying to snap off the bottom cover.  Now as soon as I got two or three "Snaps" of the bottom cover removed from one side of the panel, the machine died .  I do not know what happened, and I admit I decieed not to force the issue and continue removing the bottom panel if I didn't have to, so I just restarted it (seemed to take a while to start up) and come here.

Am I wrong here?  IS that not a little ridiculous, an apparently internal battery so if this locks up I am screwed with no way to reset it?

And also, is it "okay" to remove the bottom panel?  I am not sure how else I could have done this short of letting it sit there frozen for 4+ hours until it died (and I can't believe it's good for the computer to sit there in a locked-up-frozen state.)

Any help would be grately appreciated, this really upsets me, a 3 week new computer should not have that problem to begin with, let alone the "solution" is worse than the problem.

Obviously my system wont run AMD System Monitor because it just froze up completely again. Thankfully I didn't screw the Bottom back on so that was lucky I guess.

And it's bothered me so much I spelled"greatly" grately... like a fence gate.

OK thanks again for any help.

If anyone has a bit of support to add I would be much appreciated.  I am currently cellphone-less due to a dishwashing incident and I can't call Acer technical support at the moment.

I'm a little dismayed.  Apparently I cannot run AMD System Monitor because it freezes the machine, and when I have the frozen machine I have no way (that I know of) of resetting it.
