S7 392 Black Screen and does not boot - HELP please

Bought this PC about 2 months ago. Everything great and now will not boot. I have tried the solution suggested in another thread about powering on, then off with power cord disconnected and then on again with power cord, but no luck. Occasionaly get Automatic Repair message for about 2 secs and then nothing.

Noticed that on other threads about reflashing the BIOS, but am reluctant to do this unless I have to.

Thanks in advance for answers.

Can you please provide a little more detail, so I can better help you with your issue?

When you power on the system, do you get the Automatic Repair message  everytime?

When the computer goes to the black screen, does it have a cursor in the top left corner, or is it completely black?

Are you able to get into your BIOS? If so, try resetting it to defaults. I would not recommend flashing the BIOS, until we can determine exactly what is happening.

Do you have recovery media that you can try?

I have had the same problem twice, and I've had to completely reset the computer each time.  I could only do that after many attempts to boot into Windows 8 repair mode.

No, the automatic repair message doesn't happen every time.  After a while of trying, I have been able to actually boot into the repair mode.  But most of the time you get the auto repair message and then a blank screen again.  To me the screen appears completely blank, no cursor.  I have not been successful at getting into the BIOS during these attempted boot ups.

If there is anything you can tell us, I would appreciate it because if this happens again to me, it'll be the third time, and I'll have to consider sending this machine back.  I don't want to do that because I really like it.

Any word on this?  I can fix it by holding down the battery reset button for 30 seconds, so is this a battery issue that happens every month or so?  Static buildup?

Had the same problem, except it would go into automatic repair and then nothing - every time. Could not get into bios by pressing F2.  Did not try pressing battery reset because tech support did not suggest that. Meanwhile I sent unit off for repair.  How widespread is this issue, and what causes it?

I am not familiar with the issue you are describing. My best recommendation, would be to contact technical support in your region to set up repair. You can try making sure the lower case screw is secured like in the link below.
