Acer Aspire 4315 Laptop with Vista Big Problem Help

Warranty expired, but need to refresh Vista.  Services all denied due to being disabled or not associated with device.

Any help would be much appreciated.

CD-Rom not even working, so cannot load upgrade to Win 7.

Had a problem setting up wireless network after new router installed.  Router worked fine with XP on desktop, but after days of struggling with Vista, tried to load Win 7, but all services seem to be disabled.

Did not get a disk with purchase at Radio Shack in 2007, so seems like I am out of luck with a reload of OS.

    Hi OldAcerUser

Providing you still have the original hard drive installed, you will have a recovery partition where you can reinstall Windows from that!

See here on how to do so - just remember to back up all your data, otherwise you'll lose it! Once you've restored & all is good, you'll need to install all your programs, data & anti virus/malware. You may also be able to burn your own recovery disks too, but you will need to replace the optical drive if yours doesn't work!
