I have an Acer Aspire V3-571G which suffers from a multitude of build problems. Firstly, the keyboard wasn't fitted correctly, some of the keys don't respond immediately, and when those women you pay cents a day inserted the optical drive it looks as if it was hammered in. Also, the fan bearing is noisy upon spin-up and occasionally makes a grinding when the machine is started up after a while. Also, the back cover of the LCD feels loose and is susceptible to being opened with a mere fingernail. And the biggest gripe I have at the moment is the fact that the wireless doesn't turn on properly, and has trouble connecting to the router, which sometimes disappears from the list despite being well in range. These problems have plagued me from day one, however I did not bother with them as the last Acer laptop I owned got returned several times due to a negligent technician and I was given store credit when it came back the last time after having being dropped at the service center which resulted in some significant cosmetic damage which to my surprise, went unnoticed.
Having said that, I will not be buying another Acer, no matter how inexpensive they are, unless you manage to put together a product that represents quality workmanship. And your customer service could do with an improvement as well. They are cheap and nasty!
Oh, and bring back LED indicators for caps lock, num lock and scroll lock keys. The on-screen pop-ups are annoying and pointless.
