I tried to restore my machine using the eRecovery option installed on the HDD(Alt F10),it just messed up my machine. It re-started but never got past the "Setup is starting services" message,it also shows a "Install Windows "error of "Unexpected re-start/Un-expected error encountered".  Ordered the CDRom/DVDs' no success with them either it reaches the same point and returns the same error messages. The machine ran fine before attempting to reset it, ran scans prior to the restore attempt ,no virus' no malware/spyware.Anyone seen this and if so do you have any suggestions/solutions.

Thanks inb advance

We would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.

That is a very prudent suggestion, with the exception that Tech support seems to be non-existent as my computer went out of warranty 29 September 2012.are there any other avenues that you are aware of that might help??

    Thanks

Given that you have attempted to use both the on-disk recovery option AND recovering from optical media ...

Have you attempted to use a utility like CHKDSK to scan the disk for problems?

It could be that there is a physical error on the drive that might be causing issues.
