Hello,
I recently purcased the Acer Aspire S7-392 laptop, which included an adaptor in the box for VGA and Ethernet, via the Acer Display Port. I would like to purchase a 1440p monitor, which has a Dual-Link DVI port for connection. I don't think my S7-392 has one, but I would like to know if there is an adaptor available, either official acer or not, which would allow me to connect this monitor to my laptop at the full QHD 2560x1440p resolution - I am from the UK and have the 1440p version of this laptop. I found one on amazon which looks like it should do the job, but do Acer do a white style one? I worry that this adaptor may be too thick to use successfully with this ultra thin laptop!
Thanks a lot.

EDIT: Running Windows 8.1 and Acer Aspire S7-392-74508G25tws
(I wish Windows 8.1 allowed you to scale to individual external displays. I use scaling with a 2560x1440p resolution, but when I try to disable it on an external monitor it has to use the same settings as my display
