Aspire 8942G Issue

I recently bought a secondhand Acer Aspire 8942G.

It came with a 320GB HDD with no recovery partition, so I swapped for a Samsung 840 Series 250GB SSD.

I also upgraded the memory from 6GB to **** 16GB 1600MHz.

I then installed windows 7 and downloaded all the drivers and applications from here.

 

The only problem I have is the Bio Protection software, which installs the fingerprint reader device but doesn't complete the software part. I tried numerous installs but the same result. I downloaded a trial version of BioExcess from EgisTec, and it installed ok, and I can now use the fingerprint reader, but as I've stated this is only a trial version and I would like a solution before the trial runs out.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
