Hello, I have an 8951G-9600 and want to add a second drive. The one I have is failing and I want to go back with two. The second bay doesnt have a cable, so I will need to purchase one. I have looked on acers website but cannot find any info. Acers documentation doesn't list any info. This is strange that this was a selling feature without any other info. I tried to contact Acer but since im out of warranty it will cost to find out if they offer one. I have found some online but all seem to be out of stock right now. Does anyone know how I may find this cable? Or is there another way to contact the acer store possible to lookup a part? Thanks.

if your hard drive is starting to go bad MAKE BACKUPS IMMEDIATLY ALSO MAKE AN IMAGE COPY OF AT LEAST THE <PQSERVICE> FACTORY RESTORE PARTITION using Macrium Reflect/Acronis or similar so you will be able to make new copies of recovery disks or do an alt+F10 factory re-install.  Also it would be very rare if they had used a funky type cable for the drive (unless the drive end is built into the drive caddy) you only need to find the secondary SATA connector on the MOBO and buy a SATA data cable that will reach from there to the drive, and a SATA power cable (if there is a connector) or a 'Y' power cable if not, if the drives require a separate cable for power.
