On my ACER V5-571PG in PC settings under devices, there is an entry "ACER-PC not windows certified".  What does that mean?

You will need to provide more information about the device.

    What category is it under?

What device ID does it show?

My original message gave all the information I have.

In PC SETTINGS the CATEGORY is DEVICES.

    The DEVICES ID is ACER-PC.

Directly under ACER-PC is the message...NOT WINDOWS CERTIFIED.

Swipe the right side of the screen (swipe right to left starting at the edge of the right side).

At the bottom of the screen Touch PC Settings.

On the next screen Touch Devices.

(Devices like printers will pop up on the right side of the screen)

My machine has a devices called ACER-PC.

Under the device ACER-PC it says "not windows certified"

OK, I see.  I was thinking more a device malfunctioning in Device Manager that was the issue.

The Devices Charm is, "a quick way to send files and info to other devices that are connected to your PC, like your printer, Xbox, phone, speakers, TV, or a projector. The list of devices available in the Devices charm depends on the devices you have and whether they’re connected to your PC. To learn more about setting up devices, see Add, remove, and manage your devices and printers."

So you're seeing a device that is connected to the system.  What device do you have connected that is named, "ACER-PC"?
