Aspire M 3201 wifi

I have a problem with wireless connection that I hope to get solved soon.  Until today I connected my wireless router with an ethernet cable to my Aspire M 3201 and that had worked well with this desktop and many other wireless devices (iPhones, iPad, and laptops), except that the router is located in one end of my house and the signal is not reliable at another end of the house.  I was told I could get some device to boost the wireless router signal.  But I decided to try moving the router to the middle of the house, and that solved the signal problem.  But now I'm facing a new problem.  My desktop (Aspire M 3201) is not connected to the router wirelessly.  When I tried to set up the network connection, the computer keeps telling me to connect the LAN cable.  I downloaded the wireless driver for this model from Aspire website, but that's not helping.  Is there something else I should do to get wireless connection to work? Any ideas to solve my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Not all Aspire M3201 systems shipped with Wireless connectivity.

If you have your part number or serial number, I could check that for you.

You can also check to see if there is a Wireless card installed in Device Manager.
