Problem with web camera on aspire v3-772G

I just bought Acer Aspire V3-772G and the problem with my built-in camera is that it can't be detected(it's not displayed in the device manager of windows). Tried to look for drivers but no such thing exists. I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro (64bit) and I've installed all the drivers. It is a hardware problem or there's some secret button to activate the web camera I don't know of ?

    Hi Surpass

It sounds as if the webcam itself may have an issue, possibly a loose connection. As your laptop is new, return it to the store you bought it from for an exchange or contact Acer support for your region for further help.

I have the same problem in my V5-431 and it happened, if I am not wrong, when I installed like you Win 8.1. I am not sure because I did not need the camera until several days after. And when I had Win 7 and Win 8 I remember it functioned. I think also that it may have been the new LaunchManager software for Win 8.1 that did not function.

    Hi juanpasht

Your webcam may need a new driver - or it may not be compatible with 8.1!

Go to Acer support for your region, select "Drivers & Manuals" then enter the details of your laptop. Next select your OS from the pulldown menu (Windows 8.1). Now find your webcam driver, & the Launch Manager  download & install.
