Random shut down

Just bought an Acer Veriton Vm6620G in the last 30 days. It shuts down randomly from time to time. I restart it and its fine again for a long time but happened twice yesterday in less than a 24hr period and I just got it back from Acer repair in the last 24hrs.
I sent it in for service some 10 days ago and was asked by an Acer rep what I thought the problem was. I told them I thought it was a video card problem since I restart it and it runs fine, so not likely an overheating issue. My monitor goes into a muli-color state and then a system shut down. I'm sending it back, free of charge, but in the meantime does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this?
