Aspire one no video on boot

hey all I noticed the netbook (acer aspire one AOA150 ZG5) has no video. I turend off the computer and pulled the battery and cord, then put the battery back in and tried to boot and still no video and the system will not even boot only light i get is a power light on the button. I have no idea how to fix this or if its simply dead.

    Clive, it's possible that your four year old low-powered netbook has gone to the Computer Shop in the Sky, but there is a free trick you can try that MIGHT work.

     

    There is a 10% chance that if you remove the power cord and battery and hold the power button down for sixty seconds, you will then be able to restart it. This procedure removes static electricity, refreshes the BIOS, and resets the battery's software program.

     

    Considering that you can buy a brand-new WIndows 8 dual-core not4ebook with two gigs of RAM for about $250 US, I would not be willing to spend a lot of money on it, but you can see what a reputable computer shop will tell you.
