I'd like to know what particular spec to look for to upgrade the RAM.  Currently laptop has 2x512MB DIMMs.  The laptop can take up to 2GB (2x1GB).  I bought what I thought was compatible DDR 333mhz PC2700 200-pin modules 2x1GB and laptop won't boot so wanted to know if I'm missing anything in terms of checking the specs.  Please advise.

According to Crucial, it will accept this 1 gig stick or the PC2700

I saw that it does upgrade to 2 gigs.

In what way is your ram different ? And of course, it's always a good idea to go to the Mfg's

site > Support and see what they recommend for ram upgrades.

Is the CL and Voltage correct for your unit ?
