Aspire S7, Micro-HDMI out to Panasonic plasma

Hi folks

Isn't it possible to use a micro-hdmi to hdmi adaptor and a hdmi cable, to get the picture to a Panasonic GT30 plasma, which does not allow the use of the vga-adaptor?

After cables are connected I press the Win + P buttons, and selects one of the options, but the Acer doesn't register any other screen.

I have tried to connect to another brand of screen, doesn't work either.

I have tried with and without power cable, and with hdmi cables connected on start up...

Any ideas?

Best regards

I know this isn't much help, and I am sorry for that.  I have connected my S7-391 via the micro HDMI to TV's and secondary monitors with no problems.  I have done this when connected at boot time as well as hot connecting, all with no issues.  Is it possible you have a bad cable?  Seems like that - obviously other than the laptop - is the one constant.  I bought a cable from Amazon that I thought might give me trouble (it was relatively cheap), but I was pleasantly surprised.
