Acer Aspire 4336 windows 7

Hello Acer Community...I'm new to the forum. I'm stuck and need some help. Here's my problem. I have a Aspire with windows 7 and well its most likely something simple I've tried and can't fix it. So when I plug in my Acer with HDMI cable to my HDTV the screen turns sideways it displays this on both TV and Acer screen? But when I unplug the Acer from TV the screen will go back to normal. I thought it might be the TV and tried using remote but I'm not finding the problem there. Please can someone help me with fixing this problem..Right now I'm using my Acer to streamline to my TV and well can't watch it when everything is sideways. I would highly appreciate some help here and I look forward to any advice in this matter. Thank you.

Try pressing the CTRL + UP/DOWN arrow keys to see if that will change the screen orientation.

 

If that does not work, you may need to go into the graphics card Control Panel.

If you have an NVidia card it will be NVidia Control panel, if you have an ATI card it will be something like ATI Catalyst.

 

Click on your graphic card control panel icon and once the graphics card control panel has opened look for an option to 'Rotate the display'. You will then be able to change the display from portrait to landscape.
