X3400G Will Not Boot

A little less than a year ago, I purchased two X3400 desktops. One for myself, and one for my parents. The morning after I set one up at my parent's house, my mom called and said the computer had shut itself off, and would not power back on. I went over to check it out. It would power up and I could hear the fans turn on, but the blue power light would never illuminate, and it would not boot. After several attempts of turning it off and on, it finally booted, but shutdown again shortly thereafter. We figured we got a dud and returned it. They had sold out of this model in the meantime, and gave my parents a Gateway with similar specs.

I kept my X3400, and did not have any problems with it up until about a week ago, when it started experiencing the same symptons as the one I had given to my parents. I work from home and need a reliable PC, so I've since bought another one, but I would like to get the X3400 back up and running again if I can. I was able to get it to run yesterday afternoon for a couple hours, which gave me just enough time to backup some of my files before it shut down on me again.

Is this possibly a power supply issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a defective power supply, if you're still in warranty call Acer and have them assist.
