I used the Recovery Drive dialog in Windows 8 Control Panel to create a bootable flash drive, then changed the BIOS boot device sequence on my W510 to look first at the USB flash drive and then at the system drive. This all worked well until the boot process from the flash drive began by bringing up a screen asking me which keyboard language I wanted to use. All forms of input appear to be non-functional at that point: the touch screen does not work, the keyboard does not work, and the touchpad does not work. Also, there is no cursor on the screen. How do I get past this screen to continue the boot process? Is there some additional, undocumented step I need to perform in creating the supposedly bootable flash drive?
(When I booted up the system using the system drive and looked at the contents of the flash drive, what's there appears to be a valid, readable file structure, though of course I don't know what the contents are supposed to be.)
