I had to do a system recovery on my Acer Aspire 5733z-4381 so I bought the disks from Acer
I finally got them to work but once I got to the restoring system part it came up with an error
\windows\system32\winload.exe 0xc000000f corrupted or missing
I/O
Do I have to have my hard drive replaced?

Have you attempted to use the media more than just the one time?

I would attempt to recovery the system again.

If the error persists, you may need to contact technical support for assistance, it could be a hardware problem.

Duglop, try Acer Tommy's suggestion first. If after several attempts it still doesn't work, MS recommends that you borrow a legal copy of your operating system on a DVD: Insert the DVD and go to the Repair Menu.
