T272HUL causes audio to quit, requires Audiosrv restart

Something about the integrated mic or speakers for the T272HUL are causing my windows 8.1 audio system to quit.  Nothing will play and I have to restart the Audiosrv service.  I don't know if this is a RealTek driver issue or what.  In the device manager I have a RealTek UBS2.0 Mic driver under audio so I don't know if that needs an updated driver or what.  I tried to download the most updated set of RealTek generic audio drivers from their website but it still hung after installation.  Any suggestions?

Windows should automatically detect and install the proper drivers for the USB Hub on the T272HUL monitor.
