Does the T232HL bmidz support 3d ?

According to the Acer Website the t232hl is supposed to work with Nvidia 3d vision 2 glasses. I've been trying for two days to get Nvidia 3d vision working with this monitor and have not had any luck.

Is it possible that the website is wrong? The only place that 3d is mentioned is on this page. I haven't found any video, review, or other detail anywhere else on the web that confirms the presence of this feature. Also, it is not mentioned on the monitor box, nor in the manual, nor in Acer's promotional video. The box also does not include a dual link DVI-D cable (which is required for 3-d use) and the monitor does not appear to support a 120 hz refresh rate, which I thought was required for the Nvidia 3d system.

Can someone from Acer please confirm whether or not this monitor actually supports 3d?

If not, please fix the website so other people don't waste their time and money trying to set up 3d on their system.

The "Features" page lists features of the series that may not be available on all models. This is indicated at the end of the paragraphs with the superscripted 1, which references the first footnote on the page:

^1. Specifications vary depending on model.

The T232HL datasheet (the tab on the page next to Features) does not indicate that this is a 3D capable model.

I am unable to find indications in our documentation that this is a 3D model.

This model is touch only, not 3D.

Wow, I wish I had read this post before. I just wasted a few days of my time with the same problem. I ordered my monitor per this web page http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/UM.VT2AA.001 (Features tab) and got a non-3D monitor. I would defy anyone who viewed that web page to think they were getting anything but a 3D touch monitor. Yes, I agree that specification can vary per model - pretty obvious. But they give a very specific model number on that page and if you go to "Acer Store", there's only one model number/SKU listed. How would a buyer even suspect they would get a monitor different than the one shown? I called Acer support and the guy finally explained that I had ordered the wrong part...but couldn't give me the correct model # to order. I would agree - please fix the web site. -Mike

Can you please let me know where one can purchase a 3D + Touch Acer monitor? I would prefer the 23" but the 27" will also suffice. Please also let me know what the correct complete model number, SKU, etc is that will ensure that the monitor will be both Touch AND 3D.

I'm really shocked to discover this didn't have 3D functionality. I actually purchased this product as I read the 'product description' which turns out to not be the product I thought I was purchasing. It's extremely misleading and I think their website needs to be more obvious that it is not product specific.

I will be getting a refund for this product as I feel I was misled into the purchase.

I also believed from the web page presentation and features that the T232HL also supported Nvidia 3D.

The specs for the touch screen T232HL are great and the web page presentation makes it look even greater with Nvidia 3D support clearly listed under the Features tab and elsewhere. It's clearly listed under the "Touch and 3D" catagory, NOT a "Touch and/or 3D" catagory.

It is unacceptable that a simple non-specific footnote is used to exclude key features clearly shown in the web presentation. I don't think that I'm alone in thinking that this is clearly a bait-n-switch marketing tactic.

And I too wish that I had read this post before purchasing a T232HL since it creates severe doubt about everything the Acer web site says about this monitor and it's capabilities, or about any other Acer product for that matter.

Thank goodness for Acer that many reviews give the T232HL high marks for the features it really does have for the original msrp (now 10 precent higher as of 2/1/2013).

Please have the web pages changed to remove any 3D feature references currently listed under the T232HL before a lawyer buys one expecting 3D to work.

Well i know for me when i first went there i thought they were seperate when it says Touch and 3D. but once i went to see acers product and only saw the touch models i also began to think they had 3d especially when i went to features. so i went to some computer stores but noticed the box for the monitor says nothing about 3d. so i too think this is misleading especially if you buy online. me personally im still getting it for the touch. does acer have 3d monitors?

The website is not just very misleading, it is definately misleading in respect to the 3d capabilities of the T232HL. I saw the footnote and then clicked on "all models" and sorted by "touch and 3d" and the t232hl shows up. So I went out and bought the monitor and I really like it for it's touch and picture quality. A few days after my purchase I decided to try 3D so I upgraded my video card, purchased 3D glasses and oh by the way upgraded my power supply to accomodate the new video card. In other words I sunk a lot of money based on your misleading advertising. After all that expense and effort to my surprise I find out it's not working. After several hours of thinking it was an NVIDEA problem I came across this support forum and I find out it's not the video card at all! It's all on Acer. The company owes many of us an apology and explanation better then read the superscript when all the photos and groupings of images under 3D and touch show the T232HL. Classic case of marketing not knowing the product that engineers design. You need a better review process for your website content. Now I have to decide what to do.. If I bring the 23" back it looks like only the 27" does 3D. The design of the 27" is no where near as classy and modern as the 23" What a dissapointment. Look the T232Hl is great product, so be up front about what it can and can't do. Misleading the customer may get you a sale in the short term but its diminshes the value of your company for the long haul.
