Connecting to my laptop

I recently bought an Iconia B 710 tablet, and I found the files to connect it via USB to my laptop. I installed the drivers according to instructions on the youtube video I found, but once I run the .exe , I get the message to "please plug in device" even though it is plugged in to the USB port, fully charged and turned on. I can't get my laptop - running WIndows XP - to recognize the tablet at all, although I can charge the table using the USB port.

Any ideas?

On my A100 you have to go into developer options and turn on USB debugging to have the tablet show up as a drive on a Windows machine.

Well, it got the Windows Connection Wizard to open, but cannot it says it cannot find the drivers anywhere on the net, and, as it seems to be searching for an .ini file, it does not want to look at the setup files that I had downloaded from the Acer website.
