Hi all.

My name is Mufasa. I recently bought myself an Acer Aspire V5-571 from a reputable 2nd hand dealer. The laptop worked fine until i loaded Win8.1. Most of Acer's programs worked. However with the switchover to windows 8.1 i entered a bios password, while changing the uefi settings. Needless to say a day or 2 after i installed windows 8.1 i wanted to revert to windows enterprise, which came out with the laptop on the recovery partition. As luck would have it,  I forgot the bios password.  At this stage i cannot even press alt F10 toaccess the rcovery partition. To make matters worse, my windows has crashed and ther is no hope of recovery. I BOUGHT MYSELF A TABLET to conitnue with my assighnments becouse i cannot be without a laptop. It is just not the same

Please HELP

going back to the problem, you can opt to send it to an acer store for warranty. (if it is still in warranty)

or if it isnt , try going to the nearest local pc store, see if they can reset the bios..

or if you can do it, then try it.. for your own risks
