has anybody had any decent support from the help desk?

I know i haven't, all responses to date seem to fall in one of three categories:-

1. Misunderstanding the question i have asked, deliberate or otherwise,

2. Referring me to articles of questionable relevance

3. Stating they have no information to help me

?

As i thought, nobody has a good word to say for them, however i have finally browbeaten them into answering a query about upgrading to 4.4, the gist of which follows:-

"We have checked with the support and they informed that for this model they wont upgrade software to kitkat 4.4."

    Last acer i buy.

Hey, shame to us all who buy acer phone.

We have a great hardware, with minimal software support. Others phone maker already realized that software update was a great selling point.

Availablity of user flashable stock rom also make a great sales. People dont want to leave their phone for 2-5 days, just to re-flash the OS.

Just look at my phone now, Acer released jb 4.1.2 for Intel powered phone, Liquid C1, without a full feature available on previous OS, ICS.

No face unlock, wifi display, wifi direct, dlna, bugged OS performance. A joke from Acer, really a bad joke.

If Intel doesnt team up with Acer to make this phone for Asia, I will not buy this phone!

Should have been clearer, the model i enquired about which will not be upgraded to 4.4 is the liquid e2 duo.

Looks like no phone from Acer updated to 4.4 right? No plans officially published too.

Any phone from Acer that very lucky enough to get jb 4.3?

That is ridiculous. Acer are still selling the Liquid E2 Duo so why wouldn't they want to support it? I thought this was quite a good phone for the money but if Acer are not going to support the phone then likewise I won't be supporting them with future purchases. Just hope that a developer somewhere releases a 4.4 rom for the phone as Acer doesn't value their customers enough to properly support the phone.
