wifi connect doesn't show up

i can't connect to any wifi network because it doesn't show up. i just installed Wireless LAN_Broadcom_5.100.82.112_W7x86W7x64_A, when i'm about to install Wireless LAN_Atheros_9.2.0.480_W7x86W7x64_A it's show up a message "the device may not be present or could have been ejected/unplugged from the system. insert or reinsert now". what should i do??? please help!!

    You should use the link on the drivers page to figure out which chipset you have and only install that driver.

     

    It sounds like Broadcom installed just fine, which would indicate that you have that chipset.

    Atheros and Broadcom are two different chipsets.  You're not going to be able to install both.

    Hi, do you mean that you installed a new card (Atheros)?

    How did your wifi card that came with computer does not working?

    Have you tried to install both chipsets software?

    Please Provide more details

    Possible easy fix! Go to the task Manager (Crl+Alt+Del), select the "services" tab, find the service called "Wlansvc" and see if it's currently running. If not then right-click it and select "start" or "Restart". It seems that when Windows 8 restarts or does updates it likes to turn off this service. Which seems to be important for connecting to your wifi network because when it's not running, your network won't even show up.
