How do I turn off the display on my W510 without the tablet goes in to sleep mode

I want my tablet to stay on-line in IM systems and to be able to make remote access, but when I turn the display off, then computer goes to sleep and I can not connect ?

The battery settings: Display Auto turn off is set as never if I choose, Computer never sleep. This is not the same as on other computers and I need the display off, but not the computer in sleep  mode.

Please give advise, thanks

try going into the desktop view and looking under power management or the battery icon there.... see if you can access the advanced power features and customize something like high power plan to sleep never but  turn off screen after a couple mins or something. in desktop view it should have the same options as a full computer I believe.

W510 has reduced Power Plan options, all already set to Never Sleep on he W510, but it still goes into sleep, so problem is more complicated..

Hi ! I have seen your post, I have solved only for keyboard docking mode with charger connected :-)

 

Two ways to do:

 

Fn+F6: Disable backlight, touch screen still active :-/

nircmd Monotor off, touch screen not active :-)

 

For the table stand alone, I have no acceptable solution, any clues ?

 

I need to know the Fn key ID NUM for the W510 to make a solution
