Acer abandons customers after one year

I've a acer tablet a100 since february 2012, and the tablet is not starting anymore. I found on the official Acer forum that is a problem with the internal memory.

I called the Acer support center but they confirmed me that is an hardware issue and the tablet is not under warranty, costs $140 just to ship it. I asked an help to have it fixed under warranty becuase it is caused by an hardware issue, it is not my fault.

 

They told me that are not affiliated to Acer and they cannot answer this question, and there is no other way to contact the support center if the tablet is out of warranty.

 

So, basically, after one year there is no way to contact Acer for any help. Other brands like Dell or HP, allows at least their customers to speak with a customer representative. I had similary experience where they helped me with a low cost and effective solution.

 

Don't buy Acer.
