I am new to this forum and have a question.  I have an acer tablet and am trying to watch a webinar on it.  It tells me that I have to download flash player 10.3 or higher.  When I click on the download button it tells me that it is not supported by this device.

I went to support and they sent me to a page where i followed their instructions and downloaded "flash player 11.1 for android (11.1.102.59) and that did not work either.  HELP!  Any suggestions?

    hi..

Adobe removed the Adobe Flash Player from the Google store on August 12, 2012.

You may follow the below mentione steps to install Adobe flash player on your tablet

    1. Make sure your Android device is connected to the Internet.
    2. Open the Settings menu.
    3. Select Security (or Applications, on older Android OSs).
    4. Place a checkmark next to the "Unknown sources" check box.
    5. Tap OK to confirm your selection.
    6. Close Settings.
    7. Launch the browser.
    8. Search for "flash player archive page" or navigate directly to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions. html
    9. On the Archive page, scroll down to "Flash Player for Android archives"
    10. Select a version of Flash Player that is compatible with your Android operating system.
    11. Tap the link to download the Flash Player installer. Download begins automatically.
    12. When download completes, close the browser.
    13. Open Notifications.
    14. Tap "install_flash_player.apk"
    15. When prompted, tap Install.
    16. When installation is finished, tap Done.

It is surprising how fast the culture changes. Before the stores became common you had to go to every software vendor's site to get an update (many never bothered unless something did not work). Today if it is not in The Store, many are lost.

Requiring vetted, signed updates is a good thing but for Windows tabs, being able to navigate both worlds is essential since the Windows store does not have very much.
