This is what happened:
- I installed Ubuntu as I would usually do on my new laptop. I didn't know about UEFI and ended up renderning Windows un-bootable.
- I kept tinkering around until I got GRUB to read both Windows and Ubuntu. But Ubuntu was damaged during the process.
- I resinstalled Ubuntu. But instead of replacing the old one, it was installed on the whole drive.
- I didn't burn the recovery disk nor do I still have the recovery partition. I only have AppDrv1.
I'm in Egypt. I tried Online Support, it tells me my SNID is not valid. I tried eRecovery, I got "No RCD available for the entered Serial Number". I used the Acer System Information to be sure. It gives me the same SNID as on the bottom of the laptop, but still not valid.
