Acer Aspire e1-571 Connectivity issues

My Aspire E1-571 has been playing up for a while now, something I first thought was a problem with my ISP/router. However, after testing this on 3 different routers it must be a problem with the laptop itself.

The internet disconnects at random intervals, usually around 5 minutes or less, in which the page will continue trying to load before eventually telling me that my internet is down, and the little yellow triangle will show up on the wifi notification icon. I have tried troubleshooting this problem however, although the troubleshooter sometimes finds, and more rarely fixes the various DNS issues, the majority of the time it finds nothing at all and I simply wait until the internet connects again.

I believe my drivers are up to date

Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter - 5.100.82.33

Intel Centrino Wireless-N 105 - 15.10.0.12

I have also checked various fixes that Google has suggested, such as the power management checkbox that turns off the wifi device to save power, and both my plugged in and on battery settings are maximum power for anything wifi related.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? And more importantly any

    hi..

Was you computer shipped with windows 8 from factory?

If yes, then check the BIOS version listed in your computer.

To check BIOS version, press the Windows key + X, select Run, and then type msinfo32 and hit the Enter key.

In the System Information window, click System Summary and locate your current BIOS Version/Date to the right.

Get back to us with the above information to resolve the issue.

Yes, the laptop came with Windows 8 from factory, however I recently updated it to Windows 8.1. This however, didn't make any difference to my troubles as the problem existed long before the OS update, and has persisted after.

    The Bios Version/Date is Acer V2.07, 15/10/2012.

    Hope this helps!

Tried to update and my laptop restarted itself. It's now completely broken. I followed all the instructions properly and I have no idea why it restarted.

I now, on trying to boot it, get a message that it is installing windows updates over and over before it restarts and does it all over again.

    What do I do?

I THINK if you remove the battery it will reset to the original settings (that it came with).

In any case, here is a link:

Looks like I have no need to. I turned my laptop on this morning to see if anything had changed, and it loaded straight away. This is so odd. The BIOS didn't update but apparently everything is fine, and nothing is any different.

I try to run the BIOS updater once more, but I get the error 'AC Detect Error'.

Before doing anything BACK UP your current BIOS settings.
