Just bought a Lexar 8GB SDHC memory card for my camera. Can't download to computer photo files.  Error message:  E:\ is not accessible  The Request could not be performed because of a I/O device error.

I was told I needed to get a updated or a new driver .  My old memory card works but doesn't allow for many inages.  Please advise.  Do you need my serial number?

thank you,

sincerely,

Paula

  • Your '9 in 1' card reader supports the following:

    CompactFlash Card type II,
    SD Memory Card,
    CompactFlash Card type I,
    Memory Stick,
    Memory Stick PRO,
    xD-Picture Card,
    MultiMediaCard,
    SmartMedia Card,
    Microdrive

It cannot accept the SDHC cards and cannot be upgraded by software.

You may be able to connect your camera directly to your machines via USB port and read your card without the need to remove it. (Many cameras are supplied with the necessary cable.)

If this is not an option, you may wish to consider buying a USB card reader. Should you go this route, ensure that it is compatible with SDHC cards.
