Apps getting crashed quite often, display driver crashing, keypad freeze while searching via charms bar and getting heated even on normal net browsing.

So if anyone have idea of how to reset this device using pendrive, pls help. (once i loved this device so much n now after updating to windows 8.1 i started to feel this device being useless n i dont want to spend cash for usb dvd drive)

The best way is to use a self-powered USB DVD drive and the three recovery disks that come with a W510.

If you must use a pen drive there are a number of threads here on converting the disks to ISOs and then using the Microsoft tool to make a bootable flash drive.

However since USB DVD drives are only about U$25 from Amazon (BlueRay is U$35) I suggest going that way.

Just make sure you use either a self powered drive or a powered hub (powered = wall wart), theW510 does not have much USB power.
