Acer Aspire crashing when gaming.

I have a two year old Acer Aspire 4755G with win 7 32bit as an OS.  Recently, when I played games that I played with no problem before the games crash after 1 to 5 min. of use.  I updated the drivers to nvidia driver 305.46, but the problem persists.  Heat doesn't seem to be an issue when it crashes.  I've used a temerature gage and it runs at normal tempuratures during gaming.  So my question is does anyone have the Acer Aspire 4755G and what set up do you use to game.  What nvidia drivers are you using?

Thank you

Pizal, there is more than one possible explanation.

The most likely cause is overheating, but you've checked that. Just the same, I would download the free CoreTemp program to verify that your fan is all right.

It is possible that you have some other software program that is clashing with your games. Download the free Win Patrol program to see what is running in the background.

It is possible that a Windows Update is trying to get in, and it's too much for your machine to handle. Try checking for Windows Updates in Control Panel and see if anything has gotten stuck. If so, try installing it manually with all your games turned off.

And my standard advice: run a deep scan with your antivirus program.

Yeah, my thought is there is a program clashing that I can't find.  I turn windows update off and update periodically to avoid that clashing not just with gaming, but with everything.

I think you are right.  The fan isn't kicking on.  Before when a program switched to the nvidia graphics card from the integrated hot air would blow out the side.  That isn't happening now.
