Hello.

I bought Acer Aspire One 725 (A1-AO725-C7CBB), installed fresh, valid Windows 7 and nothing else. Next downloaded VGA drivers from acer site and installed it. After that Windows boot 2-3x longer that normal, stuck on Windows 7 logo for ~45 seconds. This issue is on every boot. I removed VGA drivers and boot back to normal.

I format my HDD, reinstalled Windows 7 and again downloaded and installed VGA drivers. Again have long boot, and after removeed VGA drivers boot is ok.

So I think this is fault of bad VGA drivers. Acer will release new VGA drivers for Aspire One 725?

Regards.

    hi...

You need to check if you have installed the correct video drivers.

Is there any devices with yellow exclamation mark in the device manager?

    http://global-download.acer.com/FilesDownload/HWID/HWVendorDetection.exe

You need to run the above mentioned hardware vendor utility to find the corect video card manufacturer.

Then download and install the correct VGA vendor drivers.

Do not have any yellow exclamation. VGA driver for AO725 Windows 7 is only one (v8.981.0.0000):

This drivers are bad and the only one...

It isn't Acer who make the drivers lol... you should check what is your GPU and check their website - http://www.geforce.com/drivers for nvidia or http://support.amd.com/en-us/download for AMD.

Aspire One 725 have APU AMD C-70. All drivers from AMD site do not works. I checked all. Drivers from AMD site can't detect VGA. Only driver from Acer site can detect VGA. This driver prepare Acer but have long boot bug in Windows 7.

Acer does not ship products without an operating system.

As stated in the private message, send me the serial number of the system and where you purchased it.

I ask for proper version of VGA drivers and I must send you my Windows 7 serial? Can you tell me why I must do it?

Drivers for Windows 7 are available on our drivers page.  There are no new drivers for Windows 7.

I'm not aware of any systems that Acer ships, worldwide, without an operating system.

I would like to verify what system you have specifically.  The serial number would let me do that.

If you can provide the part number, that would suffice.

I know what system I have: Windows 7 (seven).

I known that drivers for Windows 7 are available on Acer drivers page (version 8.981.0.0000) but this version is bugged (long boot in Windows 7).

Acer would release new, proper drivers or not?

You have installed a retail copy of Microsoft Windows 7, which I'm unable to support.

The drivers that are posted install properly.

Unfortunately, you've provided no error message, issue log, or serial number of the system in question.

I'm really unable to assist you with your retail version and the issue that you are having without some of that information.

Windows 7 version does not matter. Clean Windows 7 is clean Windows 7.

Latest driver date is 2012/12/17 so Acer did not update VGA drivers for AO725 since 1 year so drivers are not up to date. Drivers from AMD site do not works with APU. Why Acer can't release the newest version of the drivers?
