Aspire Memory Problem. After yesterday, only detects one dimm, no matter which one and which slot.

Yesterday, windows didnt boot. It gave me a page fault error. I checked and rechecked and finally ended checking the memory. I activated the memory test on setup and it stopped always on 1048576K.

I removed one dimm (2 GB DDR2 800) and started normally. I have tested both dimms and alone they work flawlessly no matters on which slot I put ir (dimm one or two).

When I put both of them, the BIOS (on setup) only detects one, on slot one and memory test fails.

I have tested two other dimms and the same happened

I have upgrade bios to latest release R01-B0 (3/31/09) and nothing changed

 

Anyone have an idea to correct this issue or I should get used to the idea of having only 2GB of ram ?
