Acer W3 restore DVD

Hello everyone,

This is my first post so please be gentle Smiley Happy

I am sorry if this subject was already debated, I am looking for a source or if you can provide me the DVD that came with our W3.

I bought a second hand W3 and the previous owner only had the power adapter/charger.

Also, what is the most efficient way to restore our W3 if you don't have a DVD and a external DVD player?

If I can create a restore image to a USB flash drive, is there any place in the user manual or online that I can follow the instructions?

Thanks in advanced,

Luís

PS - On a side note, me too had the display issues/errors after the 8.1 update, and as suggested in this forum, I just downgraded the drivers, it worked.

Cheers!

Can create a Flash drive but it must be formatted correctly. I have used IMGBURN to create an .ISO before and the Microsoft ISO to Flash Drive tool to build the flash drive before. Otherwise for a Windows 8 machine with UEFI you must use a FAT32 formatted drive with a GPT and the proper boot signatures.

    Thanks for your fast reply.

I was wandering, since its the 64GB version and my HD only shows 45GB, will this mean that I still have the recovery partition?

If I mess the Windows installation will I be able to "recover" from the recovery partition?

Maybe I did not understood correctly the use of the recovery partition...
