    Hi reps66

Googling the code suggests a hardware error, but more than likely the hard drive.

    From Microsoft's website :

The error message relates to a hardware error pertaining to your computer's BIOS. Basically it is telling you that the computer is not able to reliably communicate with the hard drive.

Try another hard drive & reinstall Windows on it, this should hopefully solve the problem.

We have Windows 7 drivers available for the AS6920. That should help you with just about everything needed to get it up and running.

Was Windows 7 already on the hard drive? If it was, the reason it will blue screen because the Windows version on the HD is for a different spec machine, I.E. different drivers, possibly different processor etc.

You will need to format & reinstall Windows 7 on that hard drive from scratch...

    Hi reps66

If your recovery disks are not Windows 7, then you will need to buy a copy of a retail or OEM disk of Windows 7. Beforehand, download all the Windows 7 drivers from the Acer support site and burn them to disk or copy them to a memory stick.

Boot from the optical drive and allow Windows to install, by following the on screen instructions.

Once installed, load the Acer drivers and all the Windows updates.
