V7-482PG

Windows 8.1

Realtek audio driver 3.75 (downloaded from acer website)

Dear all,

Today I updated my audiodrivers to the latest version offered by acer (realtek audio 3.75). After installation I noticed that the Dolby Home Theater application wasn't running after the reboot. Turns out it wasn't installed. I tried:

- Manual installation from the PCEE4 folder in acer download - the program is installed but won't interact with audio

- Clean installation of driver

- Update of driver over older version

When I revert back to the 3.68 driver (Win 8 only) Dolby Home Theater installs and performs normally - no need to install PCEE seperately. Seems like a faulty installation file or is there some other trick I forgot?

I'm afraid that the version numbers that you are using do not correspond to any driver versions that we have posted.

Can you please verify that you are using the following driver versions?
    Aspire V7-482PG
    8.0  Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.6950
    8.1  Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.7032

You may wish to attempt installing the .7032 driver under Windows 8 and then upgrading to Windows 8.1.
