Pathetic Service in Bangalore

I brought a W3 tablet in Aug 2013 which worked fine untill about 3 weeks back. The screen was locked at the Acer logo and after contacting the Acer dealer was told to give it to the Service Lounge. Two days after giving it to the Acer Service lounge and follow ups, the service engineer on the phone told me that they have a scratched DVD and cannot load Windows !!!!! The engineer asked me to bring the recovery DVD and I had to tell him that there was no DVD in the box (came to know later after some searching in the net that the 64GB option does not come with the DVD, hope the Acer service guys knew better!), after which he told me it would take another week to get a media and if I was interested to leave the tablet with them. Hoping to get it fixed at other Acer service center, I finally brought back the Tablet after 2 days with the Service lounge in the same state.... the service engineer did not bother to meet me either, the tablet was given to me at the reception by a security person... truly have to appreciate Acer's courtesy and attitude !

I went back to the dealer, who promised me that it would be solved in a matter of one day for just reloading the windows.... eventually turned to 2, 3 ,4 days, softwae turned to hardware issues etc. etc...... now 10 days after multiple visits to the dealer and calls (they will never call you back) ... yet to get back my Tablet. Way to go Acer!

In the meanwhile, ended up buying another W3 as there was a planned demo which was shown earlier on a W3 tablet and the customer wanted to see it again.... had got pushed out for 10 days as the tablet was stuck with the service/dealer...... after unboxing at the store, the tablet was not powering up. The store guy kept changing the charger, plug point and eventually got it powered up.... Brought it home and again the same story... it just would not power up... left it overnight hoping to charge the battery, and next day saw the charger led blinking. Determined not to go to the pathetic Acer service guys, looked around the web and found similar issues by customers. Ended up updating the Bios myself and get the tablet working... Atleast I did not have to hand over the tablet to Acer Service for an eternal wait !!!

Hopefully, praying my second tablet will continue to work for some time (atleast untill my demo is over !!!!!).
