aspire 5750 can't find network driver
Our Aspire 5750-6667 died recently while installing about 15 Windows Updates.
I got new Windows disks, and re-installed the OS, but I can't get any network connectivity.
When I try to connect to the internet, I get "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver". I guess the driver is not on the Windows 7 installation disks I purchased from Microsoft?
I can't find any info on the Acer site as to which adapter is in this machine.
If I look in Device Manager, I see "Ethernet Controller" and "Network Controller", but neither has a driver, and both say "the device isn't using any resources because it has a problem".
Can I fix this?
Thanks!
Cindy
Edited to add: Got it fixed.

Good day
Please download the hardware detect utility: Need to know the hardware on your system to choose the right driver?
There is also only 1 driver available for download for LAN: http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=3474
For Wireless card, please use the utility. Also download the Launch Manager so you can switch the wireless on and off.
