Hello,

Installed windows 8.1.  Went through the restart and saw that it was updating some of the boot files.  After second restart, it now only boots for a second (if that) then goes to a windows error blue screen citing error codes:

                 0xC1900101 and       0x30018

Tells me to press the windows key to use a repair usb to fix the problem.  I have hooked up a usb key board to the tablet but their is no responce to it.

RIght now it is a slab that I can power up to a blue error screen in less than 2 seconds!

Thanks for any help!

I would suggest restoring the system to the factory shipped operating system.

Also when it asks for a repair drive, one needed to be created using the recovery program prior to the event. If you hae a recovery partion (64 GB version) it will need an 8GB flash, otherwise anything over 250MB should work.

I try to generate one before major events & use restore points for minor ones I might want to roll back.

With flash drive inserted enter Search>Recovery>Create a recovery drive& select the checkbox to save the recovery partion, will be grayed out is not available.

Note: the flash drive will be wiped. If no recovery partition is will ask for recovery disks following boot. If you do not have a USB DVD player you will need to use different means. Beyond that it gets complicated but almost anything else can be a recovery disk.

After completion the flash drive will be bootable (F12).

the problem I am having is that I am not even get past the first stage of the intial basic boot start up.  I never have a chance to do any recovery becasue the tablet will not boot far enough.  No matter how fast I press the keys all I can get is the Acer boot select utillity.

With a properly set up flash drive or recovery DVD, or installation ISO, that is where you would find it in the boot select menu.
